When the sky is reasonably clear, and the wind not too stiff, we can listen for the jump plane from the nearby airport. We often watch it as it spirals to the jump height. We are getting pretty good at judging when the plane will disgorge its riders. We can not see them until the chutes begin to open. We usually count 10 or 12 as they float down. If we catch the early ones we can see bright colors of the canopies. This is just one of the things we watch from the park bench by the lake at evening.
